REPETITIONS

The next part to enabling your child to create meaningful relationships throughout their lives is to support and manage repetitive behaviors effectively.

Below is the REPETITION video to watch and make sure to download the supporting PDF workbook.

Lesson Takeaways

  • Help the brain not loop constantly into that same hardwired behavior WHILE not judging as a bad behavior, while not asking them to stop doing it, rather teach them to open up the hard wired loop and get more varied
  • Do it with them and add something new to it, vary it and become interesting and as I change and stay fun and not judge, I add a correction: teach about what is happening
  • Brain finding its own way to adapt and help himself: but if we let them without varying, then brain will grow more into it and won’t be able to tolerate change
  • Vary it to give room to change
